![]() (THAT worked out well, huh Axle, Merle, Oscar, a few Woodbury residents. He asks her why she stayed in Woodbury once she learned her friends were at the prison (yes, Andrea, please enlighten us.) Instead of continuing to try and get the pliers while talking - because both of these things CAN be done at once - she just sits there and talks to Milton, like she's got all the time in the world, and explains that she sincerely wanted to save everyone's lives, even the Governor's for awhile. It's very tense and terrifying - Andrea is staring at him (when she SHOULD BE GETTING THE PLIERS) and he suddenly lifts his head and gasps. He's a ticking time bomb - at any second, he could awaken as a zombie. They realize that they've soured their shot at staying in Woodbury and plan to slip out once the Governor returns.Īndrea has finally managed to drag the pliers in front of her, but Milton has gone deadly silent. Tyreese and Sasha are also in Woodbury, keeping an eye on the residents too young or too weak to join the battle royale at the prison. Rick apologizes to Michonne for almost selling her out to the Governor. There doesn't seem to be anyone there but the walkers. It's very impressive.Īnd yet there's no response from the prison. Spent shell casings rain down, and the air roars with gunfire. They take out two of the guard towers with what looks like rocket launchers, and they mow down every walker filling the prison yard with machine guns. The Woodbury army begins a full-out assault on the prison with some seriously heavy artillery. But instead, he hands the gun over to Tyreese and says, "Thank you," as cold as ice. They offer to stay behind to help defend the women and children, and the Governor looks at them with such a mixture of hate and disgust that when he reaches for an assault rifle, it seems almost certain he's about to blow them away for defecting. They'll fight zombies, but shooting other people isn't sitting right with them. Now, Tyreese and Sasha step up and announce that they're backing out. They're not gonna stop til they kill us, and we're gonna end this once and for all." Rick's group is "no different from the biters. There's a much less tranquil scene happening simultaneously in Woodbury, where the Governor is whipping his troops into a frenzy. Rick points out that she's "one of us," and that Carl made the call first - perhaps this is why he's so mad at his dad. ![]() "You had to think about it," she says, and adds that she never thanked him for taking her into the group in the first place. Rick pulls Michonne aside to apologize for almost selling her out. "My brother never did something like that his whole life," says Daryl, and she briefly holds his hand. Carol and Darryl have a little moment together, where she acknowledges that Merle gave them a chance to survive.
